I went through similar growing up and what makes this so much sadder is there are many places to get support these days. The world is starting to accept us for who we are. Just look at how the news has been calling her a "she" and not a "he." Baby steps, but still steps! But shame on her therapists!!! I wish we had names! They were in a position to help and they made things worse. :(
